Coaching at all levels involves much more than making out the lineup, running fielding drills and coaching third base. It is an important and rewarding responsibility, working with young players to develop skills, improve fitness, a positive sporting attitude and a love for the game.

A good idea would be to include some Warm-up and Cool-down drills and ensure the team knows what to do
before a game if the coach and/or manager are running late.

The Concord Baseball Club will again be entering teams in the Pacific Coast Baseball League.
Registration is open to men or women players (minimum age of 14) and will cater for all skill levels.

Congratulations to seven Concord Comets players, who as part of the Ryde Hawks South Little League Allstars team, have come 4th in the State Little League Championships. They have now qualified for the
National Little League Championships which will be held at Lismore in June.

Make the most of the remainder of the school holidays or get ready for your winter season with our $40 hitting sessions with Diamond Dreams. Sessions are conducted throughout the day and evening (pending availability) and run for 30 minutes. Single 30 minute sessions usually cost $55 but you save $15. So learn from our professional coaches or simply hit by yourself off our machine, the choice is yours.
Registrations are now open for the 2015 Coasties Cup. The tournament is open to both Association teams and Club teams. If you have enough interested players you may wish to organise a club based team either stand alone, combined with another team from our club or combined with players from other clubs.
Stealers are running a winter baseball competition for juniors. This comp is for LL Minor (U12) or LL Junior Minor (U14) i.e players who play on Saturday morning.

We are still having problems with housekeeping of our fields, equipment sheds and equipment container being left in an untidy state. Instructions can be found in the document Majors Bay Housekeeping.
We have our coach the coaches course planned on Thursday 27 November from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, see the newsletter or website for more details. This course is open to all current coaches, parents or players (U12's and up) and there is no cost to participants.
We have arranged a "Coach the Coaches" course to be held on Thursday 27 November at Majors Bay from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

The first Coaches and Managers meeting of the season is scheduled for Wednesday 5 November in the Boardroom of the Concord RSL and Community club commencing at 7:30pm.
All managers are reminded that the Result Sheet/Match Report for "Live Ball" or "Pre Live Ball" needs to be filed in the canteen at the completion of each match. Heather, our results coordinator, will pick them up each week.
